Overview
Sweetwater provides a unique solution for longer term productions at a venue without a control room where neither a truck nor "temporary flypack" would be practical. We take the specific technical requirements of a production and design and build a custom control room solution quickly and affordably. The control room is constructed to be "semi permanent" with sturdy custom consoles, modular custom fabricated rack units and a spacious comfortable working environment designed to feel like home for a crew working in a daily show situation. With our experience, resources and support behind a production, our clients know the budget and timelines will be met, technical changes can be accommodated and the producers can concentrate on the creative and other business aspects of the show.
The benefits of 24/7 support, back-ups and emergency equipment replacement all from one vendor takes the worry out of the technical side of a production. Our engineers build, maintain and operate the control room. If a production suddenly needs to add a temporary special event, live concert performance or creative one-time special segment we have the resources and know-how to ramp up for this and provide all the additional temporary equipment needed on short notice. Again, with one call to a single vendor.
With a rental system the client also has to ability to adapt to changing technology at any time without being locked into gear that was purchased and may quickly become obsolete. Productions often decide to change formats, add bells and whistles, try out new ideas, upgrade to newer gear, etc… all of which is easily accommodated as a show grows and changes. (Or needs to cut back and reduce costs.)
Control rooms can be built inside a Facility or outside in a large climate controlled office trailer.
Sweetwater offers a complete turnkey service for productions ranging from a 6 month to 5 or more year contract.
